BikeFit or riding position adjustment. What is it?

It is defined simply and clearly as: "BE ONE WITH YOUR BIKE”. Body Geometry is the only complete system of products and bike fit that's ergonomically designed and scientifically tested to improve power, endurance and comfort.

It's a service for precise positioning of the driving position.

We have often heard the story: a person comes, buys an expensive bike. Rides it once or twice. His back starts to ache, his arms die. A simple conclusion is drawn - cycling is not for me, I'd rather play tennis - after all, I bought a decent bike and there can't be anything wrong with it! Yes, that part is right, that there is nothing wrong with the bike. It's the settings. Often people don't dare to 'tweak' anything. Because the shop already set it up that way. But in reality, there are only a few people for whom a bike assembled in a shop fits immediately and only needs a saddle height adjustment.

Simple logic tells us that if there is something wrong with the saddle, our body unconsciously tries to constantly adjust what is wrong. Put the saddle on the wheel at an angle and ride. You're still trying to "twist yourself as straight as you can" to get your legs to move normally. But this requires effort and energy - energy that could be spent on moving forward rather than on extraneous activities. But even that is only one aspect. The other aspect is all the injuries and traumas that can 'build up' because of the wrong set-up and become a big problem later on.

The Body Geometry service uses a number of tools. At times, it is necessary to go through a journey in which the number of variables is quite awe-inspiring: different types of saddles; stem length; degree; choice of shoe insoles; saddle angle, height; lens distance, height, width, shape; position of shoe cleats under the sole, etc. The list is long, but one thing is clear - the riding position is not set by a laser or a computer, but by an experienced and skilled person.

We have Erki Kukk, who is a cyclist himself, but who has also undergone a number of academic courses. It is also important to have a long practice - in the sense of feedback. Erki has been doing this work for the last 10 years. The service is time-consuming and in-depth, lasting about two to three hours. Sometimes shorter, sometimes longer. It all depends on the situation and the person's particularities. Some are a "simple case", other times you have to set up several times and go for a ride/test drive in between.

The cost of the service is 190€.
